Job summary

guernseysonic is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team. This position cooks, prepares, and packages food product in a fast-paced restaurant environment, following operational and quality standards described by management.

Immediate supervisor is Manager on Duty (MOD). Cook, prepare, and package food product, operating dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and food prep stations as assigned, while complying with company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general restaurant operations and practices.
• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to follow directions and multi-task in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

• Cook, prepare, and package food product pursuant to operational and quality standards.
• Operate dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and food prep stations as assigned.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Perform regular cleaning and sanitation duties – including trash disposal, mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and food preparation tools, wiping counters, sanitizing food preparation areas, cleaning equipment, and emptying used grease.
• Regular attendance.
