Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD seeks a Certified Surgical Technician for a part-time PRN role on a rotating shift. You will scrub for surgeries, prepare the operating room, and assist the circulating nurse while ensuring patient safety and accuracy in communications with the healthcare team.

The role requires CST certification, BLS, and a high school diploma, with preferred completion of a technologist program or equivalent experience. Strong mobility and manual dexterity are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold CST certification and complete a technologist program or have 1 year of technologist experience.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and visual accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and assists in maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Communicates patient information accurately to the healthcare team.
• Prepare OR environment and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for procedures.
• Assist environmental services in rapid OR cleaning and setup as needed.
