Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving - East Idaho is seeking reliable, compassionate individuals to join our in-home caregiving team. You will provide non-medical support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

This is relationship-driven work requiring punctuality, respect, and strong communication. Duties include companionship, personal care support, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation assistance per care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Kind, patient, trustworthy, and respectful demeanor.
• Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and physical mobility support.
• Strong communication skills — able to interact professionally with clients, families, and office staff.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Prior caregiving experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement through conversation, activities, and emotional support.
• Assist with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to client preferences and care plan.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain a clean living environment.
• Provide medication reminders per the care plan.
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers.
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments and errands.
• Offer respite care support to give family caregivers a break.
• Follow care instructions and communicate changes promptly.
• Support client independence and daily routines with professionalism.
