Job summary

Visiting Angels Upper Connecticut River Valley, NH is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to support seniors in Hanover NH and surrounding communities. Flexible daytime hours with competitive pay ($18–$22/hour) based on experience.

Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility support, and ensuring safety. We offer paid time off, mileage reimbursement, direct deposit, and ongoing education to help you grow in a rewarding home-care role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management and reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.
• Willingness to comply with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene.
• Managing light housekeeping.
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals.
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times.
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them).
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability).
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks.
