Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer. The role involves patrolling designated areas on foot or by vehicle, monitoring for security issues, and responding to emergencies. The officer will use a shift-pickup platform to build a schedule across multiple industries, gaining diverse site experience.

The position emphasizes flexibility, opportunities for growth, and the chance to supplement income or start a security career. Some shifts may be irregular with short notice.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Must have a CA Guard Card with training certificates.
• Must be able to stand the entire shift.
• Background check and drug screen required per law.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or restricted items.
• Permit entry and monitor entrances and exits to property.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
