Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background investigation required per federal, state, and local laws; criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Two years or more of prior security experience required.
• Be at least 21 years of age, or as required by state.
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions creating security concerns or hazards.
• Sound alarms or summon police or fire department if needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.).
• Permit authorized persons to enter property; monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft; ensure authorized removal meets client requirements.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
