Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional Flex Officer in California to patrol designated areas, monitor access, and respond to emergencies across multiple client sites. You will use a shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on availability, gaining diverse site experience and growth opportunities while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will work flexible shifts, interact with the public in a courteous manner, and complete written reports on activities and incidents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background investigation required per applicable laws.
• Valid driver's license if operating company or client vehicles.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21 if armed) and able to work irregular shifts.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to operate radio/console monitoring equipment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Ability to interact cordially with the public.
• Active listening and quick situation assessment.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department when needed.
• Warn violators and enforce site rules.
• Control entry points and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as required by site Post Orders.
