Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across healthcare, education, finance, and more. You will use our shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts that fit your schedule, giving you flexibility and valuable site experience.

This role offers opportunities to work irregular shifts, gain hands-on security experience, and grow within a dynamic, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background investigation as per federal, state, and local laws; applications with criminal histories will be evaluated.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law; no prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; write informatively, clearly, and accurately.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly; identify critical issues.
• Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
• Teamwork.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions; loitering, smoking, or carrying prohibited articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
