Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve clients across multiple industries. You’ll use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on availability, gaining site experience and growth opportunities.

The role may require irregular shifts with little notice. Pay is $18.50 per hour with weekly pay, offering hands-on experience and a path to a phenom­enal career in security services.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check in accordance with laws; certain histories may be considered.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/console equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to assess situations quickly and accurately.
• Mediation and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department when needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure authorized removals.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aide customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
