Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional Flex Officer for a Downtown San Diego location. Must have open availability and an active CA guard card. Pay rate is $21/hour with weekly and daily pay options.

The role involves supporting multiple client sites across Healthcare, Education, Finance, and more, using a shift-pickup platform to build a schedule based on availability. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring for security concerns, alarming when needed, authorizing access,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Background check conducted per applicable laws.
• Valid driver’s license if driving company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Must be 18+ (21+ if armed) as per state requirements.
• Must be able to operate radio/console equipment and monitor systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rules; loitering, smoking, or forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized entrants and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper client procedures.
• Investigate incidents; prepare reports; maintain required logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as needed per site Post Orders.
