Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Professional Flex Officer to protect clients in healthcare, education, finance, and beyond. You will use our shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on availability, building a schedule that fits your life while gaining site experience across industries.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and active California guard card, with overnight shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Background check as part of employment process under applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required per policy.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/console monitors or related communications equipment.
• Demonstrate cordial, professional interaction with the public.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately.
• Mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions and report them.
• Sound alarms or call authorities when needed.
• Warn violators of violations like loitering or prohibited items.
• Permit entry for authorized persons and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe post areas to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare written reports.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors politely.
• Make emergency notifications per site orders.
