Job summary

Sunstates Security in Henderson, KY is hiring Flex Security Officers to cover multiple posts and shifts. This role offers a $15.50 to $16.00 per hour pay rate with weekly pay and opportunities for advancement.

You will receive training at various posts, may rotate locations, and work shifts as needed. A High School diploma and good communication are required, plus customer service mindset and a year of security or related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Customer service skills and professional appearance.
• 1 year security, military or law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying driver credentials, employee identification, visitor information, and required documentation before granting entry.
• Manage inbound and outbound truck traffic by inspecting bills of lading, driver identification, trailer numbers, seal numbers, and shipment paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accurate logs and records, including truck logs, visitor logs, contractor sign-in sheets, call-in logs, and shift pass-down documentation.
• Conduct detailed shift turnovers by reviewing logbooks, receiving pass-down information, inspecting equipment, and communicating critical operational updates between shifts.
• Monitor facility gates and regulate traffic flow by opening and securing access points according to established schedules, employee breaks, shift changes, and site requirements.
• Perform routine interior and exterior security inspections to identify unsecured doors, safety hazards, suspicious activity, lighting issues, or other security concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering telephones professionally, assisting visitors and drivers, and directing calls to the appropriate personnel.
• Verify trailer seals and load information, observe trailer sealing procedures, and ensure shipping and receiving processes are completed according to site protocols.
• Complete facility checks of office areas, hallways, entrances, lighting, equipment, and common areas to ensure the security and safety of the property.
• Report incidents, unusual activity, safety concerns, and operational issues promptly while maintaining professionalism, vigilance, and compliance with all site security procedures.
