Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a FLEX Security Officer for a facility located in Bordentown, NJ. The starting salary is $19.50 per hour, with FLEX shifts across morning, afternoon, evening and overnight to fit your schedule.

You’ll patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle, monitor access, respond to incidents, and coordinate with local authorities as needed. This role emphasizes flexibility, reliability and professional interaction with clients across various industries.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment in line with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years of age (21 if armed in some states).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/console equipment and communicate with the public.
• Strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly; mediate conflicts with tact.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department in emergencies.
• Warn violators of rule infractions.
• Monitor entrances and exits; verify authorized access.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
