Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. You will use our exclusive shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on your availability - giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries.

The Flex Officer may be called upon to work irregular shifts with little notice.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check conducted in accordance with laws; qualified applicants with criminal histories may be considered.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Must have two years of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age and adaptable to different posts.
• Operate radio/telephone equipment or console monitors.
• Communicate cordially and effectively with the public.
• Strong oral and written communication; good listening and problem-solving.
• Assess situations quickly; identify critical issues.
• Mediate conflicts with tact and diplomacy.
• Demonstrate teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or summon police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rules and monitor entrances and exits.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor access points.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain logs as required.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site orders.
