Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a school-based social worker to support students in the St. Louis area. This contract opportunity offers both full-time and part-time options for the upcoming spring semester leave coverage, with a 24-month assignment.

You will focus on emotional, social, and academic growth, collaborate with teachers and support teams, manage caseloads across campuses including Florissant and St. Louis, participate in IEP processes, and complete required documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Valid and active Missouri LCSW license.
• Experience in school social work; background supporting special education is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with FMLA coverage and adapting to variable caseloads.
• Comfortable working onsite in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a dedicated resource for students, with a focus on supporting their emotional, social, and academic growth.
• Maintain communication with teachers, administrators, and student support teams.
• Manage a dynamic, changing caseload across one or more school campuses in the Florissant or St. Louis areas.
• Advocate for students well-being, participate in the IEP process, and help implement interventions for those with special needs.
• Ensure compliance with district practices and timely completion of all required documentation.
