Job summary

KIPP Atlanta Schools in Atlanta, GA seeks a School-Wide Support General Paraprofessional to provide flexible, responsive support across classrooms, hallways, and common areas. Under supervision of the principal and staff, you will help create a safe, engaging learning environment and assist with coverage during staff absences.

You will work with teachers, specialists, and administrators to support student learning, behavior, and well-being, including during assessments and transitions, while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• GAPSC Paraprofessional certification or associate's degree or 48 college credit hours.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children in an educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as flexible substitute across the building including classrooms and cafeteria.
• Enter and follow lesson plans or directions to support instruction when teachers are absent.
• Support students with IEPs, 504 plans, or behavioral plans as directed by teachers.
• Assist with front office, arrival/dismissal, hall monitoring for safety.
• Provide instructional support to small groups and during assessments where needed.
