Job summary

Kroger in White House, TN is seeking a part-time Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will greet customers, process transactions at the POS, handle multiple payment methods, and uphold company policies and safety guidelines.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow procedures, and assist diverse customers, including minors and seniors, while maintaining integrity and attentiveness to details.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers in-store.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently at the check lane.
• Handle various tender types and follow company policy.
• Adhere to cash handling and loss prevention guidelines.
• Understand and enforce sale restrictions on certain items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Provide product information to customers and create welcoming environment.
