Job summary

Kiddie Kabz LLC in Connecticut is seeking a part-time Student Transportation Aide to help keep students safe during school commutes. You will supervise students, assist with boarding and exiting, and support drivers and school staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Communication: effective verbal communication with students, drivers, and staff.
• Interpersonal: ability to establish positive relationships with students and handle behavioral issues.
• Patience: patience with students of various ages and behaviors.
• Physical fitness: ability to assist students with boarding/exiting vehicles and respond to emergencies.
• Crisis management: basic knowledge of crisis management and emergency procedures.
• Teamwork: willingness to collaborate with transportation team and school personnel.
• Background check: completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during transportation to ensure safety.
• Assist students with boarding and exiting vehicles.
• Enforce safety protocols and the use of seat belts and safety equipment.
• Respond to emergencies or unexpected situations and provide assistance.
• Maintain effective communication with drivers and school personnel.
• Address student behavior issues and report incidents to authorities.
• Familiarize yourself with assigned routes to aid navigation and timely arrivals.
• Support students with special needs to ensure comfort and safety.
• Keep accurate records of student attendance and behavior during transportation.
