Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and develop product knowledge to enhance satisfaction. You will engage with customers, maintain a clean, organized sales floor, and process transactions with accuracy.

In this role you will handle freight, participate in pricing changes, and support loss prevention efforts while wearing a name tag and maintaining a professional appearance. This position is based in-store and involves a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Processes freight.
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Handles maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service such as greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely fashion, and inviting them to return.
• Follows all safety procedures.
• Maintains professional, neat appearance with a name tag.
• Assists management in merchandising sales floor according to stock level.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Participates in Loss Prevention procedures to prevent shoplifting and cash losses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
