Job summary

CITITRENDS, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate for its in-store location to deliver outstanding customer service, develop product knowledge, and contribute to a positive and efficient retail environment.

You will process transactions accurately, assist with price changes and markdowns, balance tills, greet customers, explain exchange policies, support merchandising on the floor, and collaborate with store management to uphold loss prevention procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Customer service oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Process freight.
• Assist with price changes/markdowns.
• Balances register according to company policy.
• Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction.
• Handles all cash, checks and credit cards correctly and by company policy.
• Obtains management approval when needed for returns, voids and checks.
• Maintains store cleanliness and housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Provides proper customer service: greet customers, adhere to fitting room policies, ring up customers promptly.
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions.
• Supports loss prevention efforts and reports incidents of theft or dishonesty.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
