Parker Core Knowledge is seeking a K-8 Substitute Teacher to support instruction using teachers' plans. Hours vary with school schedules, typically Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with competitive pay and benefits.

Ideal candidates hold a Colorado teaching credential or substitute license and have strong classroom management and communication skills. Prior teaching experience is preferred, and the role emphasizes student safety and engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred, but non-degreed applicants may be considered based on experience.
Colorado or other state Teaching Certificate or Substitute License preferred.
Prior teaching or classroom experience strongly preferred.
Ability to manage a classroom and communicate clearly; proficient with Google Suite and basic office tech.

Responsabilités

Instruct students using plans provided by the homeroom teacher.
Follow procedures, lesson plans and curriculum as designated by the classroom teacher.
Maintain a productive and healthy learning environment through classroom management.
Enforce school policies and safety procedures.
Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other materials to supplement teaching.
Take attendance and document daily notes.
Oversee students outside of the classroom (hallways, cafeteria).
Create a brief daily summary for the teacher.
Keep the classroom clean and orderly.
