Job summary

PurposeCare in Oregon is seeking a caring caregiver to support clients with daily living activities, safety, and emotional well-being in their homes. You will work closely with clients and families to provide personalized care, promote independence, and maintain dignity and comfort.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, medication reminders, meals, transportation to appointments, light housekeeping, and documenting care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• Prior caregiving experience or related healthcare support experience is needed.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.
• Strong communication skills and basic literacy to document care activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Administer medication reminders and monitor health conditions, reporting changes to healthcare professionals or family members.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and promote mental well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment including light housekeeping.
• Accompany clients to medical appointments, social activities, or errands.
• Document care provided and communicate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
