Job summary

Gate Petroleum Company is hiring a Food Service Associate Non-Exempt for our Jacksonville, FL stores. You will provide friendly, efficient customer service, assist with menu items, and help with food preparation and safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating the register, stocking shelves, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the Store Kitchen Manager and Store Manager to ensure smooth store operations. Prior food service or retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English clearly.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience in convenience store or food service is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with finding products and provide product information.
• Perform routine food preparation and operate food production equipment as directed.
• Stock coolers and shelves; maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Operate registers and process cash and card payments.
• Train new or existing team members on food preparation, safety, and service.
• Perform minor maintenance on store equipment and handle safety procedures.
