You will build custom frames using wood, metal, and archival materials, measure accurately, and handle artwork with care. The studio encourages precision, creativity, and collaboration on meaningful projects. Training in archival and conservation framing is available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custom framing, woodworking, cabinetry, or related craftsmanship.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precise measurements.
• Knowledge of archival and conservation framing techniques preferred; training available for the right candidate.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfortable lifting, moving, and handling artwork of varying sizes.
• Positive attitude and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Build custom frames using wood, metal, and archival-quality materials.
• Cut mats, glazing, and backing materials accurately and efficiently.
• Handle artwork with care, including prints, original pieces, textiles, and three-dimensional objects.
• Prepare framing materials and maintain an organized workshop.
• Assist with client consultations by preparing samples and providing design input when needed.
• Follow quality standards to ensure every project meets client expectations.
