Job summary

Clayton Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Clayton, NC is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our long-term care team. You will provide comprehensive therapy under supervision, assist with patient referrals, and document progress in compliance with state guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds an OT degree, current North Carolina license/registration, and SNF experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state.
• SNF experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
• Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient progress and obtain the OTR co-signature of notes.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as directed by Supervisor.
• Act as a rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team and participate in scheduling patients.
• Complete billing logs and bill patients for occupational therapy services rendered.
