Job summary

YWCA of Metro St. Louis seeks a Family Outreach Worker to recruit and enroll eligible families with children ages 0-5 into Head Start/Early Head Start, ensuring funded enrollment is met on day one of each program year and vacancies are filled within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree required and experience in marketing, sales, community outreach or working with at-risk populations.
• Ability to recruit families in community settings and maintain accurate records.
• Knowledge of Head Start program expectations and privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Recruit eligible families with children 0-5 to Head Start/Early Head Start.
• Ensure funded enrollment is met on the first day of the program year; maintain a viable waitlist.
• Establish and monitor record keeping for compliance with Head Start standards.
• Assist families in accessing healthcare and community resources.
