Job summary

School of Rock Golden/Lakewood is seeking a Childcare Music Instructor to bring energetic, age-appropriate lessons to our Little Wing (ages 4-5) and Rookies (ages 6-7) classes. You will create a warm environment that blends foundational music skills with fun rock activities to inspire young musicians.

The role emphasizes consistent lesson planning, strong communication with parents, and flexibility to support rehearsals and occasional school events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years experience teaching or performing music
• Experience with children under seven preferred
• Early childhood education experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
• Excellent customer relations with students and parents
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient and positive demeanor
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency on at least one instrument (guitar, piano, drums, or voice)
• Excellent customer communication skills
• Resourceful problem-solver and able to work under pressure

Responsibilities

• Lead music instruction for Little Wing (ages 4-5) and Rookies (ages 6-7) classes.
• Create and document engaging lesson plans.
• Communicate progress with parents and be accessible in the school.
• Assist in rehearsals and maintenance; help recruit and enroll students.
