MERS Missouri Goodwill is hiring a Retail Cashier for the Lake Saint Louis location. The role is hourly full-time, with a starting pay of $15.50 per hour and a potential monthly bonus of up to $250.

The position emphasizes customer service, cash handling, and store maintenance in a mission-driven environment. Ideal candidates may have a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication, organization, and basic math skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and acknowledge them as they enter the store and assist on the sales floor.
• Operate the store cash register, handle cash, credit card transactions, discounts, and balance the till.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the store area.
• Request manager assistance for returns, exchanges, and customer complaints.
• Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Maintain professional relationships with team members and leadership; coordinate across teams.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles/debris-free; adhere to dress code.
• Safeguard assets and report theft or unauthorized possession; comply with policies.
