Job summary

Qualifications
- RN license required to practice.
Responsibilities
- Participates in medical examinations and reviews findings to evaluate health status of pupils and progress of program.
- Identifies and meets social, emotional, and physical needs of school children in collaboration with school personnel.
- Administers immunizations, provides first aid, and maintains health records of students.
- Counsels students in healthy habits.
- Maintains a healthy, safe learning environment by promoting OSHA standards related to bio-hazardous materials, hepatitis, and CPR training.
- Monitors and documents dispensing medications to students according to school policies.
- Verifies student identity and dosage instructions with office staff before medicine is dispensed.
- Collaborates with school office staff, principal, and parents regarding students identified for medical exclusions.
