Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide and manage patient care in a clinical area, following the nursing process from assessment to evaluation.

The role requires an Alabama-licensed RN, CPR certification, ACLS (TKC timelines) and PALS preferred; BSN encouraged, ADN for TKC. We offer education assistance, PTO, EAP, parental leave, PSLF eligibility, and a broad, mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Nursing program approved and accredited by the Alabama State Board of Nursing.
• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification required or obtained within 30 days.
• ACLS certification required or obtained within 6 months for TKC and 1 month for hospital locations.
• PALS preferred by American Heart Association for TKC areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage patient care in a clinical area following the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Interact effectively with patients, families, and health team members while maintaining professional nursing standards.
