Qualifications

• Read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth-grade level.
• Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level to make change and complete shift reports.
• Validate identification prior to selling tobacco and/or alcohol per regulations.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and handle cases of milk, soft drinks, beer and juice.
• Remain calm and follow policies during emergencies.
• Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
• Work in various temperature environments (coolers, outdoors, store).
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift.
• Provide the best customer experience and greet customers with a smile.
• Suggest purchases and promote specials; execute the customer service program.
• Maintain store safety and appearance; operate equipment safely.
• Support the safety and health program; report accidents or incidents.
