Job summary

SFS is expanding its nationwide network of independent contractors and seeks experienced Retail Merchandisers to help service major retailers and brands on a flexible, project-based basis.

Assignments are typically 12–20 hours per month with client-defined service windows. You’ll review instructions, execute merchandising tasks, perform resets and audits, and report results via mobile devices across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchandising, audits, resets, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to read and execute planograms and merchandising instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and documentation.
• Available to complete assignments during retailer service windows, mainly weekday daytime hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation for travel between locations.
• Smartphone or tablet with internet access.
• Active email address for project communication and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review project instructions and client expectations before each assignment.
• Execute merchandising projects according to client requirements.
• Perform product resets, cut-ins, display maintenance, and promotional installations.
• Remove discontinued or outdated products and materials.
• Conduct inventory counts and product scanning activities.
• Stock and organize merchandise according to planograms and standards.
• Ensure displays are clean, organized, and accurately presented.
• Travel between retail locations as required.
• Complete required reporting, including photos and project documentation, via mobile device.
• Submit project completion reports on the same day work is performed.
