Job summary

Arc of Greater Prince William invites applications for a Part-Time DSP/Caregiver in Woodbridge, VA. The position offers an hourly wage of $17.00 with a focus on supporting adults with developmental disabilities in semi-independent living environments.

You will drive agency vehicles, assist residents with daily activities, and participate in required trainings. The schedule is 8 hours per week, Mondays 12:30pm-8:30pm, across Woodbridge 22191, 22192 and 22193, with paid training and growth

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related care experience.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and required trainings.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals.
• Provide transportation using agency van for community activities.
• Support residents in residential group homes and day programs.

Supported Living Program is for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities capable of living semi-independently. One to three people reside in townhouses or apartments. Each resident receives the degree of responsibility and supervision required to meet his or her individual needs.

Hourly rate starting at $17.00 per hour. Part-Time Schedule 8 hrs/wk: Mondays 12:30pm-8:30pm at programs located in Woodbridge, VA 22191, 22192 and 22193

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges, or transferrable skills that relate to serving this population (such as experience in education, caregiving, health care, other human services or customer service);
• Ability to pass criminal background check
• Ability to pass required trainings
• A Valid driver’s license, minimum three-year acceptable driving record and reliable transportation;
