Job summary

Rockwell Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Part-Time Physical Therapy Assistant. The PTA will provide treatments under a PT's supervision, document progress, and assist with scheduling and billing. The role requires a PT license in NC and an accredited degree.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Physical Therapy
• Requires current PT license/registration in North Carolina

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under PT supervision according to state guidelines
• Assist PT in identifying patients and referring them to rehab
• Document patient participation and progress with progress notes
• Obtain MD orders for treatments, recertifications and discharges
• Assist with other documentation per state guidelines
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated
• Act as rehab delegate to interdisciplinary team
• Assist with patient scheduling
• Assist with billing for PT services
• Cover other therapists’ caseload during absences
• Supervise junior PTA staff or students as needed
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients, and families
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff and facility staff

Education

BA or Associate degree in Physical Therapy

Current license/registration in state
