Qualifications

• Current, active California SLP license required.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Compliance with continuing education requirements.
• Experience in skilled nursing/post-acute/hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with sound clinical judgment and leadership.
• Composure and professionalism in fast-paced clinical environments.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to make independent clinical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech-language and swallowing evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized plans of care with measurable goals.
• Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, swallowing safety, and compensatory strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes.
• Lead discharge planning and facilitate safe transitions to home or community.
• Communicate evaluation findings and progress to physicians and care teams while maintaining HIPAA.
