Job summary

Vital Care of Richmond is seeking a PRN infusion nurse to service patients in Richmond, VA, with on-the-road assignments. The role requires RN licensure and infusion experience; travel and infusion time are compensated. Responsibilities include IV access, med administration, patient teaching, and detailed EMR documentation.

Flexible schedule with opportunities to pick up assignments across the region; prior experience with infusion therapies and home care is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license is required and infusions experience is preferred.
• Infusion experience required for IV therapies and home infusions.
• Ability to review orders, medications, and patient health records and administer parenteral meds.
• Must document activities accurately in EMR and comply with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide infusion nursing care in patients' homes and in pharmacy suites.
• Assess patient health status and detect changes requiring intervention.
• Administer IV/IM/SQ medications safely and accurately.
• Document all activities in EMR and maintain regulatory compliance.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and healthcare team.
