Heartland Community Health Center is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, patient-centered care to support clinic operations. This flexibly staffed role covers during demand, with an hourly wage of $34.00 to $45.00 and non-exempt status.

The position emphasizes nursing assessments, triage, care coordination, family education, and collaboration with the care team to promote quality outcomes in a busy ambulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Kansas RN license and BLS certification.
• Knowledge of Kansas Nurse Practice Act and ambulatory care standards.
• Experience with pediatric, adolescent, and adult patient populations; ambulatory care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, interpret patient information, recognize changes needing provider evaluation or emergency intervention.
• Conduct telephone and in-person clinical triage within RN scope of practice using established protocols.
• Implement and coordinate plans of care, perform nursing interventions, evaluate responses, and communicate with providers.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and other nursing procedures per policy and orders.
• Provide patient and family education, support chronic disease management, and identify barriers needing referral.
