Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for ambulatory care in a PRN role. You will provide high-quality nursing care in an ambulatory clinic, document patient responses, and support physicians with examinations and minor procedures.

The role emphasizes medication administration, IV therapy, patient education, and collaboration with clinic staff to ensure safe, efficient care and timely discharge.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Nursing degree is required.
• 1+ years of patient care experience as an RN.
• Current RN license (OK or multistate compact) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Align behaviors with OU Health values and nursing practice standards.
• Assume responsibility for assigned patients or groups seen by the clinic.
• Document patient responses and changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Monitor and intervene on patients' physiological data and administer medications.
• Initiate, regulate and monitor IV infusions and blood products.
• Deliver safe and competent patient care; resolve patient complaints.
• Communicate care plans to patients and families at discharge.
• Refer patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
