Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our behavioral healthcare team. In this role, you'll collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinicians to ensure safe, accurate medication management for patients receiving specialized behavioral health treatment.

You will dispense medications, review orders for dosing and interactions, maintain records and regulatory compliance, and provide education to patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School or College of Pharmacy.
• Current and active Pharmacist license in the applicable state.
• Three years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of age-specific medication dosing and clinical considerations.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications safely and accurately in accordance with federal and state requirements.
• Review medication orders and patient records for dosing, interactions, adverse reactions and contraindications.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team regarding medication therapy.
• Maintain control over procurement, storage, distribution, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
• Dispense controlled substances and maintain inventories and documentation.
• Maintain pharmacy records, licenses, inventories, and regulatory documentation.
