Job summary

Hospice of the Bluegrass Inc. is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide compassionate, in-home personal care and support for PACE participants in collaboration with the IDT and according to the plan of care. Duties include aiding with daily living activities, maintaining a clean, safe home, and reporting changes to clinical staff.

Role may involve care in PACE centers or other care settings. A driver’s license, CPR certification, and familiarity with EMR systems are required or preferred

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old; one year of home health aide experience preferred.
• CPR certification is required.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of medical equipment use and maintenance.
• Ability to communicate compassionately with adults and elderly.
• Must be a licensed driver.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and supportive services to participants in their homes and care settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living to promote safety, comfort, and independence.
• Observe and report changes in participant condition to clinical staff.
