Job summary

Medium is seeking a dedicated PRN Licensed Dental Hygienist to join our team in Mounds View, MN. You will provide direct patient care and education to promote oral health while supporting the dental team with comprehensive hygiene services.

The role offers flexible scheduling and competitive compensation. You will administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted, travel to community sites, and maintain accurate records using Open Dental. A supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene.
• Active Minnesota Dental Hygienist License.
• 2-4 years of clinical experience preferred, but not required.
• Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English (Spanish preferred).
• Ability to work under a signed Collaborative Agreement following state and company regulations.
• Proficiency or willingness to learn Open Dental software and other necessary systems.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oral hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
• Assess and document patient conditions, collaborating with the dental team for optimal treatment plans.
• Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted by state regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Open Dental and other dental software.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Travel as needed to support community sites, which may include driving a company vehicle or personal transportation when necessary.
