Job summary

Elara Caring is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants for PRN, home-based care in the New Haven area. You will provide one-on-one patient care, assist with daily activities, and help maintain a safe home environment while supporting independence and comfort for clients at home.

Ideal candidates are actively certified in CT, reliable, with strong communication skills and a compassionate approach. The role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in CT or applicable state.
• Passion for providing high-quality patient care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and dependable work ethic.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the service area.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and assist with positioning or transferring patients (up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care needs (bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility).
• Maintain a safe, comfortable home environment for patients.
• Observe and report changes in patient conditions to the care team.
• Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support.
• Help patients maintain independence and improve quality of life.
