Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Cardiac Vascular Sonographer PRN to provide advanced echo and/or vascular ultrasound testing for OU Health patients. The role supports Providers in diagnostic care and may work across inpatient or outpatient settings with on‑call coverage.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of echo/vascular experience, ARDMS/ARRT/CCI credentials, and BLS certification. The position offers an on‑site schedule and the opportunity to mentor newer staff while contributing to

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program with emphasis in echo and/or vascular (ARDMS/ARRT/CCI).
JRCERT military program accepted if ARDMS/ARRT requirements met for ARMDS/ARRT certification.
At least 1 year of echo and/or vascular sonography experience.
BLS certification from the American Heart Association at hire; required certifications listed.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging per provider orders with high quality standards.
Prepare patients and review history to align tests with orders.
Relate test results clearly to patients and families and coordinate with Providers.
Operate specialized imaging equipment and ensure regulatory compliance.
Record data accurately and transfer images to the health system for reporting.
Provide mentorship and onboarding support to new team members.
