Job summary

Cadence Education is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team of educators in Santa Clarita. You will lead a developmentally appropriate preschool program, implement Cadence Signature Programs, and collaborate with families to support each child’s growth.

The role emphasizes safety, inclusivity, and communication, with opportunities for professional development and a tuition discount for staff dependents. A state-licensed center environment is provided.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Must meet state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers.
• Minimum 6–12 months of early childhood or classroom experience preferred.
• CDA, CCP, EEC or NAC credential may be required.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment with dignity and care.
• Build positive relationships with children and families via daily greetings and updates.
• Respond to diverse developmental and learning needs, including IEPs.
• Plan and document developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Cadence programs.
• Use Cadence communication tools to engage with families and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, well-supervised classroom per safety manual.
• Document accidents and escalated behaviors per policy and licensing.
• Follow Cadence policies and Employee Handbook.
• Participate in required trainings and meetings, possibly outside hours.
