Job summary

Preferred Podiatry Group is seeking a Podiatrist to provide compassionate care in long-term care, nursing homes, skilled nursing, and senior living communities. Flexible scheduling and a Part-Time (1099) arrangement support autonomy with patient-focused care.

The role involves clinical podiatry across care settings, emphasis on diabetic foot management, and collaboration with facility staff. Strong emphasis on patient impact and professional development.

Qualifications

• DPM degree is required.
• Active state licensure or eligibility to obtain is required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in long-term care/nursing home settings is preferred.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 15 lbs. as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide podiatric care to residents in long-term and senior care facilities.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat foot and lower limb conditions.
• Deliver preventive care for high-risk patients, including diabetic foot management.
• Educate patients and caregivers on mobility and foot health.
• Collaborate with facility staff for patient-centered outcomes.
• Participate in Medicare quality programs to ensure top-tier care.
• Document clinical encounters in NextGen EMR on a company-issued iPad.
