Job summary

Ramseur Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Ramseur, NC is recruiting a part-time Physical Therapist to join a growing long-term care team. The PT will perform comprehensive evaluations, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based therapy in a facility setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a B.S., Doctorate, MA or MS in Physical Therapy recognized by the APTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive PT evaluation based on MD orders.
• Document findings on evaluation forms and guidelines.
• Develop and implement a treatment plan with goals, frequency and modalities.
• Ensure MD orders for evaluations, treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Deliver patient-centered therapy using modalities and adjust as needed.
• Document daily participation and progress in weekly notes.
• Update treatment plan and discharge summaries as indicated.
• Document caregiver or discharge in-services when needed.
• Complete facility-required documentation and MDS-related information.
• Attend meetings and participate in rehab department activities.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Schedule patients and perform screens as required.
• Assist with billing for PT services and cover caseload during absences.
• Supervise junior staff or students as needed and cosign notes.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide inservice education to rehab staff, hospital staff and community when needed.
• Comply with facility policies and patient confidentiality and rights.
• Report to work on time and uphold professional image and productivity.
• Adhere to HR policies re: lunch, sick and time off.

Education

Physical Therapy degree (B.S., DPT, M.S. or equivalent)

Current license/registration in NC
