Job summary

BAYADA Habilitation on the Big Island is seeking a Personal Support Assistant / DSP to deliver compassionate 1:1 care for individuals with Autism and other IDDs in home and community settings. You will support daily activities with empathy, respect, and encouragement, helping clients grow and enjoy community participation.

Qualifications

• One year experience supporting individuals with intellectual and/or Developmental disabilities.
• Ability to transport clients to community activities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• The ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities.
• Participate in community integration activities, errands, and appointments.
• Patiently teach, encourage, and celebrate small achievements, giving people the space to grow.
• Opportunity to enhance caregiving skills with support from our clinical managers.
• Provide personal care assistance as needed.
