Job summary

Allegria Village in Dearborn, MI seeks a dedicated Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Skilled Nursing Facility team. This flexible, as-needed role supports residents in achieving function and independence under supervision of a licensed PT.

The PTA will provide direct treatment, monitor progress, educate residents and families, and maintain compliant documentation. Prior SNF experience preferred; active state license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following established plans of care.
• Assist in the implementation and modification of treatment plans to promote optimal functional outcomes.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in exercise programs and safe mobility techniques.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of care and treatment provided.
• Adhere to all facility policies, including quality improvement, safety, and infection control standards.
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary care team, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
• Support a positive, team-oriented work environment and contribute to patient satisfaction.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and in-service training as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
