St. Mary’s WorkMed – Auburn, Maine, part of St. Mary’s Health System, is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to join our collegial provider team.

This flexible role supports employee health, safety, and well‑being at work. You’ll provide occupational health services with a focus on workers’ compensation evaluation and management, perform pre-placement medical examinations, and deliver appropriate medical assessments and follow-up for injured or ill employees.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Occupational Health experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to excellent care.

Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Health Services with focus on workers’ compensation evaluation and management.
• Perform pre-placement medical examinations for new employees.
• Deliver medical assessments, care and follow-up for employees who become ill or injured at work.
• Review surveillance and immunization records for contracted personnel.
• Collaborate with a team dedicated to high‑quality, patient-centered care.
