Job summary

Affirmed Home Care is seeking experienced Certified Home Health Aides (HHAs) for immediate per diem assignments in Port Jefferson Station and throughout Suffolk County. Join a team that values caregivers with flexible scheduling, local assignments, and weekly pay.

As an HHA you will provide one-on-one, compassionate care in clients’ homes, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and independent with support from a responsive care team.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification required.
• At least 1 year of professional HHA experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Reliable transportation strongly preferred.
• Dependable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Providing personal care, bathing, grooming, and hygiene assistance
• Assisting with mobility and transfers as appropriate
• Providing medication reminders as directed
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Providing companionship and emotional support
• Observing and reporting changes in a client's condition
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
• Supporting clients in maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life
